In the past couple of months this app has become completely unreliable. I have a compatible phone but it keeps telling me to connect hardware, reader failed to connect. I have done everything to try to get it to allow me to tap to pay, some days it works some days it doesn't. Uninstalling, reinstalling the app, logging in and out, turing on and off developer options, nothing seems to work. Until it does, and then later it doesn't.

That sounds really frustrating. It's possible the reader itself is the issue. If you're open to it, please reach out to us so we can look into this with you and see if you're eligible for a warranty.

I'm not the most techy person and I am enjoying using Square as a vendor at a small farmers market . The first day of the market, my card reader hadn't arrived, but the tap to pay worked just fine! Set up was pretty straight forward, and reading the reports later is awesome . It does what I previously recorded on paper, but this is pretty handy!

Used to love square, now looking into switching. Their processing fees have gone up, the subscriptions are pricey, they still charge you the next month when you cancel a subscription. Everything with them is complicated. Not a happy customer, they charge me way more in fees than the 3% charge for the transaction fee. Id look at all options before choosing square. It's also hard to set up. They don't look out for business owners much.
